It's time for Market Day! Market Day, the monthly fundraising food
cooperative, is a chance for you to help raise money for Bell
School and stock up on groceries at the same time.
- If you prefer to pick up your order at the monthly delivery to Bell, there are 2 ways to order: online from the Market Day website or on the Market Day form sent
home via backpack mail each month. If you order online, you can pre-pay using your Visa/Mastercard. Checks and cash are accepted at pick-up. After you order,
either via backpack mail or online, just show up on the delivery date
(usually the fourth Tuesday of the month) to pick up your order in the
lunchroom from 2:45-4pm.
- If you want Market Day products delivered to your home, you can support Bell by ordering Market Day from Peapod and entering code MD10099.
Bell School receives about 10% profit from
orders picked up at school and 5% of Market Day purchases from Peapod. Either way, you get great deals on delicious food items.
Market Day offers a variety of promos and specials every month.
Monthly features include pies, pizzas, and holiday items. There is also a "frequent buyer" program.
Volunteers are always welcome and needed for Market Day Pickup.
Just come to the school lunchroom between 1:30-4 p.m. on pickup days to
help get orders ready. See the complete Market Day schedule below.
Have a question or want to volunteer?
Call Susan Vlodek at 871-1304 or Eleanor O'Driscoll at 296-6126. |

Activities occur throughout the year to raise funds to ensure a rich educational experience for all our children. Volunteers are always needed for these activities. Friends of Bell, a not-for-profit organization, sponsors many of the fund raising activities. Some of the fund raising activities are:
- The Bell Walk - Each student requests family, friends to sponsor her/him by making a monetary pledge for every lap the child walks on the playground). The event usually occurs in the fall.
- Early Spring Fundraiser - This adult event has included hullaBELLooza, auctions, and the 100% for the Kids direct appeal. It varies from year to year. The Wish List is this year's fundraiser.
- MarketDay - Parents, family members, friends, neighbors, faculty and staff have the opportunity each month to purchase delicious food items each month. Click to learn more about MarketDay at Bell, including the order and pick-up schedule. Questions or want to help? Contact Susan Vlodek at 871-1304 or Cathy Pranskevicius at 665-2271.
- Bell Bucks - Parents have the opportunity to buy gift certificates for a wide variety of stores. The face value of the certificate is the cost (a $10 coupon costs $10).
- OneCause - Parents can shop online through this website and help raise money for Bell.
- Amazon Associates - Click
to get to Amazon and Bell will receive a percentage of the sale.
- Target: Take Charge for Education - Parents who use a Target charge card can designate Bell to receive a percentage of their purchases. Bell's ID number is 45536. Bell School receives 2 checks a year from Target.
- Box Tops - Children and parents can collect specific box tops/labels and bring them in to school. The school receives funds for each label collected.
- Spirit Wear - We sell a line of clothing with the Bell School Logo. The markup is returned to the school. Items may be worn for gym class.
