On Thursday, October 20, 2011, Marcia McEvoy. a licensed psychologist, helped parents learn how to work collaboratively with schools to reduce mean behavior. Her presentation, "Helping kids get along at school: What parents can do to reduce student cruelty and improve peer-to-peer relationships" is available to download as a pdf file.
Dr. McEvoy also worked with fifth and sixth grade students, and all Bell teachers had the opportunity to meet with her.
This program was made possible through the generous donations of Bell parents to the 2011 Wish List for Parent Speaker Night. It is also partially funded through the Inclusion Committee and the Northcenter Neighborhood Association.
