|School News > Principal's Corner|
Dear Bell Families,
As you know, October 28 was Mrs. Caudill’s last day as the principal of Bell School. While we are happy for the opportunities that lie ahead of her, we are sad to be saying goodbye to our leader, colleague, and friend. Her presence at Bell will be deeply missed by all. A transition within administration is never an easy one, and as we approach the end of the first quarter of the school year, I know there are many questions about what will happen in the coming weeks. I would like to provide as much information as possible to our community as we move forward.
I have been appointed as Interim Principal for Bell School by our Network Chief, Dr. Ernesto Matias. During this time of transition, I will work tirelessly to continue the important work of educating our students. My priority is to make this transition a seamless one for students, staff and parents, and to keep moving forward in a positive direction. Bell is a very special place, and our community deserves nothing less.
Our Local School Council is charged with selecting the new principal for Bell, and in the coming weeks, the members of the LSC will be providing updates to the community regarding the selection process. At a distinguished school such as Bell, it is important to take time to complete the selection of a new principal in a deliberate and thoughtful manner. I am confident that the members of the Local School Council will fulfill this obligation to our community in just this way.
On a personal level, many students, staff members and parents have asked me if I will be staying at Bell. Given the uncertainty that this process can bring, I understand that these questions will arise. I fully intend to apply to become the permanent principal of Bell School, and I look forward to working with the Local School Council during the selection process.
Please feel free to contact me any time if you have questions. Productive and supportive relationships with students, staff members, parents and members of our community are always my number one priority. I look forward to serving our community in this new role, and I appreciate all of the support that has been extended to me over the past week. It is just one more indication of why Bell is a very special and unique place.
